NYC-based artist Tattfoo Tan, will be on campus leading a workshop on how to build simple tent shelters using a single piece of fabric. Participants in the workshop will together build an idealized, perfectly white tent city outside Smith Hall that will remain up for several days. This is part of Tattfoo’s New Earth – Resiliency Training Module project. Passers by will be encouraged via signage to contemplate the basic human need of shelter and our remove from that as well-off members of a first-world economy.
